Serial numbers of a Benrus watch are usually located on the movable parts of the watch, or the working part containing the wheels and gears. From prized first possessions and gifts for loved ones, to serving our military, pilots in the sky and our divers under the sea, BENRUS reignites its storied history introducing new timepieces for the next generation. BENRUS continues to honor its American heritage. One of three brothers, Lazrus quickly branched into the manufacture of watch cases, which he’d fill with movements, dials, and hands assembled in, and imported from, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The roots of Benrus go back to a watch-repair shop founded in New York City in 1921 by a Romanian immigrant named Benjamin Lazrus. I have been researching benrus watches for the last year and found this site interesting. I have not found any information on serial number or years of production. They do have some information on Benrus movements. Since the original Lasrus brothers were from romainia maybe they are related somehow.
